'This is a high fidelity recording. Steely Dan uses a specially constructed 24-channel tape recorder, a "State of the Art" 36-input computerized-mixdown consle [sic], and some very ecpensive [sic] German microphones. Individual microphone equalization is frowned upon. The sound created by musicians and singers is reproduced as faithfully as possible, and special care is taken to preserve the band-width and transient response of each performance.'Recorded at ABC Recording Studios Inc., Los Angeles

My favorite album...despite all the music that has come and gone. Personal reasons make a record stay #1 in our lives...this is no exception. Why is this so good. I don't know really. It resonates through my life as I age and remember my youth. Your fave does the same to you. This is not their best album but is a jagged line cut into the rock of life for me. Katy is my broken heart...Doctor Wu is my Mantra & time is the only friend I've got. N
