Released as a Record Store Day 4/22/2017 exclusive. It includes five exclusive Bowie prints. Limited edition of 15000 copies worldwide.
In August 1971, David Bowie's manager, Tony Defries had 500 promo LPs pressed to secure Bowie and fellow Mainman artist Dana Gillespie a record deal. The promo album, featuring seven Bowie performances on one side and five by Gillespie on the flip is often referred to as the BOWPROMO white label album due to BOWPROMO being most of the matrix found in the runout space on the LP.
This release is a copy of the first side of that 1971 promo LP David Bowie / Dana Gillespie. From all published accounts it is a 'needle drop' copy of the 1971 LP and not taken from the original tapes.

David Bowie is the self-titled debut studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on 1 June 1967, on Deram Records. Its style and content bears little overt resemblance to the type of music that he was later known for, such as the folk rock influenced Space Oddity or the glam rock of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. NME critics Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray have said, a listener strictly accustomed to David Bowie in his assorted '70s guises would probably. 2020 ChangesNowBowie Version. 2020 сингл Dillinja Mix. You like David Bowie His early work was a little too jazzy for my taste, but when Hunky Dory came out in '71, I think he really came into the mainstream, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Freddie Mercury and Alice Cooper, but I think Bowie had a far more flamboyant, androgynous sense of style. In '72, Bowie released this, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spider From Mars, his most critically acclaimed album. I think his u. Bowpromo contains alternate mixes of seven songs recorded during the sessions for Hunky Dory , five of which wound up on the album. It was a split EP, with the second half containing five tracks by Dana Gillespie, who was also signed to the Gem Group, a company formed by Bowie's manager Tony Defries. He pressed only 500 copies and distributed them to labels in the hopes of securing a deal for one of them. Side 6 David Bowie logo etching. David Bowie, 'Bowpromo' Track Listing.
